Redken Volumizing Foam for Baby Fine Hair

This stuff. It loves my hair soo much. I apply one pump to my hair and it has instant thickness. Which is good because I have such thin hair. It's frizzy most days so it doesn't look as thin, but it's hard to do a lot with. So this has been helping!

I'd heard Redken was a good name to try and I'm glad I did! Besides a bit of stickiness and taking a few seconds to dry, there's not a whole lot to complain about. It works instantly and lasts all day, and it makes any type of backcombing a dream. Or any type of sculpting really. And you don't need a lot - one pump definitely gets all my hair. It does feel gross if you leave it for more than a day before washing it out, but if you use it on second-day hair and wash it after it works out. (Or wash it every day like I do - I don't think that normal though.)

Dove Energizing Body Mist and Dove Sleek Styling Cream

I've been using Dove body mists for quite a while now. I started out with the Cool Essentials Cucumber and Green Tea which was pretty good. It was refreshing and not overpowering at all. The Energizing Grapefruit and Lemongrass that I have now is a more mature scent that somehow grew on me. These sprays don't last all that long which is sad. I'm using it for now but I'll probably move on to another scent soon.

The Damage Therapy Straight and Soft Sleek Styling Cream is really good. I don't think they make this anymore- I've been hoarding mine and using sparingly! You apply it wet, and although it doesn't actually straighten my hair at all (I just have a natural wave that even my iron has a hard time with), it's great for styling, conditioning, defrizzing, and making my hair a bit thicker. You definitely don't need that much either, especially since too much will dry white in your hair. I'll have to find something else like it!

Hair!

I've recently started a new hair routine. My hair is thin and my scalp is really dry, so I found that washing it every day helped my scalp a lot (itchiness and stuff, y'know?). That of course dries out my hair, but when I put on conditioner after shampoo it makes my hair too light and fluffy, and therefore really hard to style.

Soo I've started putting in conditioner at night and then braiding it. Not a lot of conditioner because I was worried about greasiness, just enough so that when I wash my hair in the morning and brush it, it doesn't have nearly as much breakage (which I've also been having a lot of trouble with) and is soft. I know you're not really supposed to wash it everyday, but this seems to be working for me! And with less breakage I can continue to grow it out better! :)
