Sunday Shoe Day: Club Couture Platform Pump

Soo... I obviously like lace. This is my second pair of pumps that have a see-through lace top. These ones have more lace concentrated at the toe, and are covered at the heel with a satin-like finish. These are also a little more comfortable than my other ones.

I've somehow already nicked the heel from catching them in the cracks in the sidewalk. I somehow need to avoid these more!

I got these for $25 at Meow! in Guelph. I find quite a few shoes there it seems!

Sunday Shoe Day! Call It Spring Chunky Mary Jane Platform

I love how funky these are! I just got them the other day and I just couldn't wait to put them up here. They were $30 CAD from a local boutique (called Meow, if you happen to be in Guelph). I'll have to find something very simple or monochromatic to wear with them.

And the platform is pretty high, so they don't give me any trouble with the incline. And being a mary jane they make my feet feel pretty secure. The finish on them is rich and feels like suede (so soft!) And the big buttons are super shiny under the right light.

I wasn't sure about the heels at first, because I normally go for a stiletto heel. But the shape is just too interesting. It's not your normal chunky heel! They narrow towards the back, which makes them almost triangular.

I might just end up wearing them for Halloween!

Sunday Shoe Day! BCBG Paris Peep-Toe Slingback Platform

These are so intense! But I love them so much! I'm actually afraid to wear them sometimes because I want to keep them nice.

They have quite a steep incline, but it's not terribly uncomfortable. I got them from Sears for $39, which is really good for BCBG. They have one of my absolute favourite colour combinations- I love blue and that orangey-red together. And they have this shiny patent finish that makes me want to wear catsuits and leather with them! (Which in reality amounts to shiny black leggings and a leather jacket.)

Sunday Shoe Day! Fioni Night T-Strap Open-Toe Platform

Just a little platform today! These ones came with me to Cuba and back to be part of my bridesmaid's outfit. They aren't my usual style and I kind of thought I was just going to wear them once. But they turned out to be a big hit!

First of all they're super comfortable. I can stand in these for hours. And they zip up the back instead of having a strap to fiddle with. (Not that I mind buckle straps and shoes I can only stand in for a little while, but it's just a nice bonus when it happens the other way!)

Because they're grey/silver they're pretty versatile and can go with a lot of different outfits. They're able to glitz up a more casual outfit too, which is nice.

I really like how shiny they are! And besides all the sparkly bits, the outside is a polished textile that looks like satin, which I think adds a nice finish to them.

Sunday Shoe Day! F24 Platform Pump

These are such a pretty pair of shoes. I believe I got them at a second hand store for $2 and they've been well worth it.

Although they scrunch my foot up a bit when I stand in them for too long, they're great for short distances and events where there's a lot of sitting. I love the roundness of the front and the fineness of the spiked heel. Of course my favourite part is all the lace!

Sunday Shoe Day! Call It Spring Pointed-Toe T-Strap

These are quite the shoes. They have the highly reflective gold heel which I love, especially contrasted with the black. And I find it interesting that there's the ankle strap but it also has a closed heel. These look really cool but I don't wear them anywhere that I have to stand a lot because the incline is rather steep (since there's no platform at the front) and they aren't that sturdy.

I really like them though, and I usually don't like the pointed-toe on heels that much. I call them my Elvira shoes - I just have to get a pair of slouchy black leg warmers to wear with them!

Sunday Shoe Day! Not Rated Peep-Toe Platform

As promised here are my next pair of shoes! They are from the same company as last time: Not Rated.

There are so many things that I love about these shoes. The black with chrome accents is the most obvious. I also love the subtle strips of grey animal print that line the inside and show a bit on the outside when I'm wearing them. Something not shown in the pictures is the way the light reflects off the black. It looks like it's ribbed, but in actuality it is smooth. It just seems to add that little bit more detail that make you keep staring at them for waayyy too long.

They're super sturdy and have the smooth plastic base, which means I can salsa in them! They don't have a strap on them though so we'll see how it goes. Great for nights out though!

Sunday Shoe Day! Not Rated Peep-Toe Ankle Strap Platforms

I thought I'd show you a pair of my shoes each Sunday! There were basically too many to put into one post...

Today I am showing you a pair of peep-toe ankle strap platforms by Not Rated. I got them at a second-hand boutique for $24.99. I also got another pair at the same time that apparently came from the same previous owner! I did have to put in another hole on each strap because they were too loose. They came with heel cushions but those came off pretty fast!

I just love the detail on the heels!

And the flower print is so delicate and adds to the vintage vibe!

I can also wear them for salsa (I did last Friday) because the bottom is plastic and although it has a little design, it's still quite smooth. And of course the heel is complete and not a sling back.

More shoes next Sunday!
